Whirl Wind Weekend...
Roxx just made a post of our whirl wind weekend. After reading Roxx's post it's hard to believe we fit in everything we did. This also included Gymnastics and swim practice, as well as quality time Charlotte and I were able to spend with one of my colleagues at school. It did help that we had Friday off. Below are pics from our weekend:

First Day of School For Everyone
Here they both are on their first day of 4th grade (Charlotte) and 6th grade (Nicholas). Where has the time gone? It just goes by so quickly. It has been a blessing having both of them with me at my school since preschool. It's tough to move beyond those years. Needless to say, I've shed a few tears over both of them moving beyond my grade level this year. They seem so old and mature. On the one hand, I miss the sweet little pitter patter of their feet running around the house, but I do not miss the tornado that used to hit my classroom every morning. I am loving every stage of this parenting thing so far! I love loving them!9/2/08
Middle School...
The start of this year is extra special in that our boy is starting middle school complete with a locker and period schedule. Hard to believe six short years ago he was starting his first day of Kindergarten in the first school I ever taught at. Having had him by my side since birth as mom or teacher leaves me both full of joy and sadness as I will miss this season with him. Fortunately, Nicholas is now in the same building with Jonathan so that removes the sting a bit. I love loving you Nicholas and I am very, very proud of you!!! Love, Mom
